Subsidy, rent or buy
And will it fit up the stairs
Choose a status, a subsidy group, an item and how many months; what you pay, the three-year allowance and the rent-or-buy comparison update. Then enter the floor, lift and stair width to see whether it can be delivered
Per Ministry of Health and Welfare notices, data as of 2026-09-17
A demo estimate; the care manager's assessment and approval decide the real amount

03 / RENT OR BUY
Rent or buy
It depends how long
For a short time, or while you see whether it suits, rent; for daily use over a long time, buying usually costs less. The estimate shows the month renting stops paying off
Or contact your city or county long-term care management centre; for a family member in hospital, the discharge planning service can start it before they go home
02
A care manager assesses
A home visit sets the long-term care level; if equipment is needed, an assistive device assessor confirms the items and writes a report
03
Approval arrives
The approval notice lists the items and the allowance you can use; choose and order only after it arrives
04
Buy or rent from a contracted shop
The invoice must be dated after approval; in some areas the contracted shop deducts the subsidy up front and you pay your share
05
Claim
The invoice and documents are submitted under local rules, and the allowance is drawn down
!Equipment bought before approval cannot be claimed afterwards
Delivered to the room at an agreed time, assembled and shown in use; the old bed or chair can leave on the same van, and rentals are collected when they end

A reminder before the end date, then we dismantle and collect; the deposit is refunded after a check

Cleaning and checks
Returned rentals are cleaned, disinfected and checked, with a record for each one, before renting again
Where and how soon
Service areas are a placeholder filled in at launch; in-stock items arrive in 2–3 working days (example), and you can book once a discharge date is set
A shop that sells and rents home care equipment. Beds, chairs and wheelchairs wait in the showroom to be tried; when needed we visit to measure doors, stairs and bedside space before you decide to buy, rent or apply for a subsidy

Home visit
We measure doors, stairs and landings, bedside space and the way to the toilet, check the route in, then quote
Door width and the narrowest stair
Whether a bed frame turns at the landing
Space beside the bed and to turn a wheelchair
Whether the wall by the toilet can take a grab bar
A shop visit measures the space and shows how things work; it is not the long-term care equipment assessment
Subsidy steps, renting and buying, delivery and ordering only; health needs and suitable equipment are for the care manager or a health professional to assess
You can pay for it yourself. Note that anything bought or rented before approval cannot be claimed afterwards; to use the subsidy, order from a contracted shop once approval arrives
Can I apply for both groups?+
No, you choose one. Group one, traditional equipment, has a limit of NT$ 40,000 every three years and can be bought or rented; group two, smart technology equipment, has a limit of NT$ 60,000 every three years and has been rental-only since 2026-07-01
